A very solid password manager
Enpass is the second password manager I’ve tried. The interface is intuitive. Syncs without issue. Has built in categories that cover the breadth of nearly any persons password and sensitive information needs. The only reason why I haven’t given this app 5 stars is because of three nitpicky reasons:
1) the inability to shuffle fields in the preferred order (right now you have to create/copy/paste, reinput new information). It should be as simple as touch, drag, and drop - a feature that is built it to iOS and Mac. For now just make sure as you’re entering your information that you enter it in the EXACT order that you want to interface with it, otherwise if you have 20 fields for your ‘Yahoo! Mail’, then it might take you a bit to visually located your login.
2) the font. When inputting your information, if you have an uppercase ‘I’ (eye) and a lower case ‘l’ (el), they look the same. Typically, you copy and paste and never see your password, but I’ve encountered a few times using other computers where I’ve had a hard time disinguishing between the two. When you’re hand typing in 30 characters, you only want to do it once.
3) limited to alphabetical view of folders. I have my folders structured to mirror my Safari bookmarks; which are not in alphabetical order. An option to allow reordering would create a smooth flow while jumping between Enpass and Safari.
Other than that, this app is worth every penny. I have over 120 items securely stored and I actively access and use about 75% of them regularly.
Enpass developers: change those small things, update to Touch ID, and my friends you have a 5 star review. Keep up the good work.
